TFT Enchanted Wilds Enchanted Wilds on Unreal
Launch limitations, specs, and which bugs already shipped.
Patch 18.1 is the first live TFT set on Unreal instead of Hextech. A lot of “the game is broken” reports from launch week were engine-transition issues, not your items. This page is the client layer. Strategy stays on guides. The numbered balance pass is on patch 18.1.
Minimum specs
PC: Windows 10 version 19041 or newer, DirectX 11 Feature Level 4.3, Shader Model 5.
Mobile: Riot kept requirements similar, with 2 GB iOS devices and 2 GB / 3 GB Android devices called out as the exceptions that struggle on Unreal.
If your machine is under those lines, lowering graphics will not magically restore Hextech performance. Riot support links sit on official links.
What was missing at launch (and may still be)
- Longer loads. August 28 added a spinner so a long load looks less like a crash. Loads are still slower than Space Gods.
- No minimap, no old pings. Pings are being reworked as a social tool not tied to a minimap. That is not a settings toggle you missed.
- No friend spectate at launch. Riot listed a better spectator experience as a later goal.
- Finishers as video on River Sprites until they are rebuilt in-engine.
- Incomplete cosmetics. The catalogue migrates over 18.x patches. Missing Chibis are often not deleted from the account.
- Large 18.1 download. Later patches should be smaller.
The PBE check-in video on this page is Riot talking through that transition before live. It is not a comp guide.
Fixes already shipped
August 27: memory leaks (Golden Egg, Rengar), Finisher volume ignoring SFX sliders, wrong 1st/2nd on the ranked end screen, Settings failing to open, Soul Awakening true damage on abilities, rematch vs the same opponent, Gnar/Krug combat-end freeze, load-time work.
August 28: loading spinner, Double Up re-enabled after a one-day disable, friendship-cannon exploit, Forge A Friend temporarily disabled, mobile queue and “Update Available” modal, Teemo mushrooms off-board, several ability leaks, OpenGL fallback for specific GPUs.
September 1: snappier drag-and-drop; particle flusher for late-game and Carousel stutter; Adaptor Item Remover / mana-form bugs; Alune targeting; ghost-army loop; Double Up Life Debt and Final Showdown gold.
If your issue matches something already on that list and still happens, it is a remaining bug. If your issue is “I 8th every game,” that is the comp list, not Unreal.
What to do in ranked anyway
Give the client time to load. Keep graphics modest on older PCs. Treat 2 GB phones as unsupported. Do not blame Wisps for a stuttering Carousel — September 1 tried to flush particles there. Play Enchanted Wilds, not Space Gods, if you want Set 18 LP.
18.2 on September 10 may add more cosmetics and more performance work. It is not live. Do not wait for it to learn the set.
Double Up is a separate queue. It was disabled for a day on August 27–28, then turned back on. September 1 fixed Life Debt Wisps and Final Showdown gold in that mode. Ranked LP still comes from 8-player Enchanted Wilds. The Double Up guide is the pair-queue page; this page is the engine. If loading, memory, or spectating is the problem, stop theory-crafting items and open support from official links. A perfect slam from the item recipes does not boot the client.
Space Gods remaining playable does not mean you should farm Unreal bugs in Set 17. Play Enchanted Wilds to learn Enchanted Wilds. The overlap is a limited courtesy, not a performance sandbox. If ranked still feels random after the client is stable, that is a shop problem: Wisps, contested copies, and the August 31 nerfs — not Unreal. Open the comp list and play an open 18.1d line.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers for Enchanted Wilds players.
What are the PC minimum specs?
Windows 10 version 19041+, DirectX 11 Feature Level 4.3, Shader Model 5.
Where did the minimap go?
Removed at Unreal launch. Pings are being rebuilt as a social tool. This is listed in the official 18.1 notes.
Is my missing Chibi deleted?
Usually no. Cosmetics migrate over later 18.x patches. Check the client inventory and Riot support.
Did September 1 fix stuttering?
It added a particle flusher for late-game and Carousel. Impact varies by device. More fixes are planned across 18.x.
