TFT Enchanted Wilds How to Play Blossom

The Set 18 vertical that rewrites Wisp rules.

Blossom Guide

Blossom is the Enchanted Wilds vertical built around Wisps. Other traits give stats or summons. Blossom changes the shop: orbs upgrade, appear more often, refund gold, and eventually let you buy two in one round. If you like rolling, this is the engine. If you hate spending gold on temporary power, play something else.

Pair this page with how Wisps work for buy-or-skip rules and the comp tier list for the live Ahri and Sett boards. Numbers below are patch 18.1. Confirm tooltips after patch 18.2 lands on September 10.

Who is Blossom

Karma, Yorick, Yunara, Master Yi, Ahri, Sett, Ashe, and Avatar Lux. That list is the whole origin. You do not need eleven of them. You need a breakpoint that pays for the units you actually 2-star.

CostChampions
1Karma, Yorick
2Yunara
3Master Yi
4Ahri, Sett
5Ashe, Lux

Karma and Yorick open Stage 2. Yunara is the 2-cost Executioner who can hold early AD. Yi is an Adaptor 3-cost who can be a reroll carry instead of a Blossom splash — see reroll versus Fast 8. Ahri is the Fast 8 caster. Sett is the frontline. Ashe is the late physical cap. Lux is the flexible +2 Origin, not a default buy.

Breakpoints that actually change the game

Blossom champions gain Attack Damage, Ability Power, and Health. The Wisp rules are the reason you play the trait.

  • 3 Blossom: Wisps are upgraded. This is the splash. Take it whenever you already own three copies and still like orbs.
  • 5 Blossom: Wisps appear in every shop, not every other shop. Roll-downs become denser. This is the Fast 8 tempo breakpoint.
  • 7 Blossom: buying a Wisp grants gold in patch 18.1 (4 gold on the live tooltip). The vertical becomes an economy engine. Stop here unless the next two units are free.
  • 9 Blossom: you can buy two Wisps in one round. Only take this when 5 Blossom shops already paid for themselves and you still have gold.
  • 11 Blossom: Prismatic overflow. Highlight boards, not average lobbies.

The stop-at-7 rule is the same lesson as the trait tier list. A 7 Blossom board with 2-star Ahri and Sett plus Ashe or Lux beats an 11-piece forest with naked 1-stars.

Two ways to play it

Fast 8 Invoker / Spellweaver Ahri. Stabilize Stage 2 on Karma, Yorick, or a 2-cost pair. Hit 8. Find Ahri. Itemize her with Blue Buff or Spear of Shojin plus AP from the item recipes. Sett holds Gargoyle or Spark. Splash Invoker, Spellweaver, or a Riftbeast tank if those copies are open. Skip this line when two other players already hold Ahri.

Wispful Thinking / Blossom 5 shops. Some winning boards never go past 5. They use the denser shops to find 4-costs and legendaries, then add Ashe. If your Augments include Wisp Rebate, Residual Magic, or Blossom’s Call, buy more orbs than the Wisp guide default. If you never hit a Wisp Augment, skip garbage Risky orbs and keep interest.

Yi reroll is a cousin, not the same line. Adaptor items decide whether Yi is AD or AP. Do not slam Blue Buff on Yi because the rest of your board is Ahri-shaped.

Lux, Ashe, and the greed check

Avatar Lux can represent Blossom and counts twice. Buy the Lux that completes 5 or 7, not the first 5-cost you see. Ashe caps Hunter plus Blossom; she wants Infinity Edge, Last Whisper, or Giant Slayer depending on the lobby. Neither legendary is a composition by itself. They are capstones on a board that already 2-starred its 4-costs.

If Carousel offers a contested Ahri, take it. If it offers a belt and you already have Sett items, take the belt. Details sit in the economy and Carousel guide.

Common Blossom mistakes

Buying every Wisp because 7 refunds gold — a 1-gold leftover after the refund is still a lost interest tick if you are off 50. Rolling to zero on Stage 4 because 5 Blossom fills every shop. Holding four unique 4-cost Blossom units instead of 2-starring Ahri. Forcing 11 when the open play is 7 plus a legendary from another origin. Parking Ahri on a Blackthorn hex because a teammate screenshot did.

Play Blossom when the copies are open and you already understand Wisps. If Veigar and Riftbeast are uncontested, those lines from the comp list will 4th more often than a ninth-pick Ahri.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers for Enchanted Wilds players.

Should I always go 9 or 11 Blossom?

No. Patch 18.1 boards usually stop at 7 and add Ashe, Lux, or a tank. Prismatic is a win-more.

Is Ahri required?

She is the best Fast 8 carry in the origin. If Ahri is contested, play Sett plus Ashe or leave Blossom.

Do Wisp Augments change the plan?

Wisp Rebate, Residual Magic, and Blossom's Call make extra purchases correct. Without them, skip weak Risky orbs.

Where is the full Wisp color chart?

Decision rules are on how Wisps work. Names sit on the Wisp reference.
