Most Enchanted Wilds players only need 8-player ranked. A smaller group plays for qualification. This page explains the season shape so you do not grind the wrong night, and so you do not confuse Double Up with 4v4 Superbrawl. It is not a live bracket. Dates move. Ladder LP still comes from 8-player Enchanted Wilds games. Everything below is extra structure on top of the ranked climb guide.

Ladder Snapshots

Snapshots hit selected Tuesdays at 9pm local region time and award Ranked Ladder Points to the top 30 in AMER, EMEA, and APAC. Dates announced at set launch were September 8, 15, 22 and October 6, 13. If you care about Regional Finals, those evenings matter more than a random Friday.

Play your normal climb the rest of the week. On snapshot night, play the open line from the comp tier list, not a high-roll experiment. Health math does not change because a qualifier is running. Contesting still 8ths you.

Patch days are usually Wednesdays. The September 8 snapshot is still patch 18.1. The September 15 snapshot may be on patch 18.2. Check the live patch before you queue that night.

Tactician’s Trials, Regionals, Crown

Above the ladder sit Tactician’s Trials, Regional Finals, and Tactician’s Crown. You do not need them to reach Challenger. You do need them if you want the official season. Registration, formats, and server rules live on competetft.com. This wiki will not reprint a 40-row eligibility table that goes stale when a region adds a cup.

If you qualified from a previous set, read the overlap rules. Space Gods remaining playable does not mean Set 17 games count for Set 18 Trials.

Tactician’s Superbrawl (4v4)

Riot is running a 4v4 event called Tactician’s Superbrawl on November 6–8, 2026. It extends the Trials season by about three weeks and gives a team format that community lobbies have used for years. Winning teams can earn a path toward Set 19 Tactician’s Trials. Set 18 TFT Pro Circuit players can be drafted, maximum two per roster, and TPC players do not take a Set 19 Trials seat through this event.

Format snapshot from the announcement:

• 96 teams per region
• Single-elimination best-of-three
• Qualify via a ladder snapshot on November 2 at 12:00 PT or a winning Sub-Regional 4v4 Qualifier
• Each team has a captain from the top of that server’s snapshot, who drafts three eligible teammates

AMER, EMEA, and APAC all run versions of this. Regional organizers differ (NA, LATAM, Brazil, France, Germany, Spain, UK/Nordics, Korea, Taiwan, and others). Follow the regional TFT esports accounts listed on Riot’s compete post rather than a wiki screenshot.

Superbrawl is not Double Up. Double Up is the in-client pair queue described in the Double Up guide. 4v4 is a scheduled tournament format with captains and a draft.

What competitive players should actually practice

The same Set 18 skills as everyone else, with less greed:

• One Fast 8 line and one reroll line, both from the live comp list.
• Wisp skip discipline from how Wisps work.
• Contest tracking from the ranked guide.
• Layouts: Alpha Marks, Blackthorn hexes, Ivern biomes, Avatar Origins — positioning.
• Opening anvil slams — opening encounters.

Do not rebuild your entire playbook for snapshot night. Rebuild it when 18.2 changes a number.

What this page will not do

It will not list every sub-regional qualifier URL. It will not predict Crown standings. It will not treat a streamer’s custom 4v4 as official. If the client, competetft.com, and this page disagree, the official sites win. Come back after each named patch and after Riot posts a new compete article.

For cosmetics and Pass missions, use the Battle Pass page. Those tracks do not award Trials points.
