TFT Enchanted Wilds Enchanted Wilds Champion Rankings
Units worth slamming items on in Set 18.
Champions in TFT Enchanted Wilds are not all equal item holders. A 5-cost can be a win condition or a two-slot trap. A 1-cost can be an opener or the entire game. This list ranks units by how often they deserve items and board slots in patch 18.1, not by lore.
Pair it with the comp tier list so you do not itemize Ahri in a Veigar lobby, and with item recipes so the slam matches the champion.
5-cost problem solvers
S — Lux (Avatar), Ahri’s legendary neighbors, Elder Dragon on Riftbeast, Ivern on positional boards. Lux is the most flexible unit in the set: nine Origins, double trait counting, and a laser bonus that changes with the Origin. Buy the Lux that completes a breakpoint, not the first one you see. Elder Dragon takes two slots and gives +2 Riftbeast; it is S on beast boards and a brick elsewhere. Ivern grows Greenfather hexes and can carry a Fast 9 that has no other vertical left.
A — Maokai, Taric, Gnar, Ashe, Kennen, Alune, Draven. Maokai is the scaling tank (Old Growth). Taric is the positional pair tank (Emerald Aspect). Gnar links Elderwood, Sprykin, and Brawler. Ashe caps Blossom/Hunter. Kennen is Inferno Executioner. Alune oscillates Durability and Damage Amp. Draven is a bounty mini-game that is A only when you actually complete bounties.
Do not splash Elder Dragon onto a 6-Defender board “because it is a 5-cost.” Slot cost is real. The trait tier list explains each unique.
4-cost carries and tanks
S — Ahri, Sett, Sentinel, Cassiopeia’s supporting 4-costs when she is the carry, Malphite on Blackthorn, Zyra as summon cap. Ahri is the premier AP Fast 8 carry. Sett is the Blossom frontline. Sentinel is a Riftbeast tank/invoker hybrid. Malphite’s Monolith wants enemies to hit him. Nidalee is the Adaptor showcase: AP keeps her at range, AD turns her into a cougar. Itemize the form you want, then scout opponents who slammed the opposite.
A — Ezreal, Aphelios, Sivir, Morgana, Amumu, Brambleback, Lillia, Soraka. These are excellent in their engines and mediocre as random legendaries-in-waiting.
3-cost and reroll cores
Master Yi, Azir, Cassiopeia, Krug, Kha’Zix/Rengar (Rival), Vi, Tristana, and Mama Beak define several A/S lines. Yi and Cassiopeia are the 3-costs you actually 3-star. Azir ties Blackthorn, Executioner, and Summoner. Rival is its own bag: play one for personal takedown scaling or both for the linked bonus, not a half-copy of each.
1-cost and 2-cost
Veigar is the 1-cost that can carry a whole game if stacked. Kayle and Sejuani are the Solar reroll pair. Karma, Yorick, Xayah, Leona, Ornn, Rek’Sai, and Kobuko are glue. Itemizing a 1-cost that is not your 3-star plan is how Fast 8 boards miss Ahri items.
Warwick, Teemo, Scuttlecrab, Gromp, and Caitlyn are strong Stage 2 units. Transfer items off them unless the reroll guide says that unit is the carry.
Item holders worth learning
- AP spell: Ahri, Veigar, Cassiopeia, Zyra, Lux.
- AD shooter: Ashe, Sivir, Kayle, Aphelios, Xayah.
- Tank: Sett, Malphite, Maokai, Taric, Leona, Rammus.
- Adaptor: Master Yi, Nidalee, Gromp, Akali.
If you cannot name which of those four buckets your items belong to, you are not ready to spend 50 gold on a 4-cost. Go back to getting started and slam something.
Scouting unique traits is part of champion valuation. A Kog’Maw with Caustic shreds tanks for your whole team. A Zyra with plants up is more durability than her tooltip suggests. Watch the unique-trait video on this page, then open the Wisp guide so you do not spend the gold you need for the actual unit.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers for Enchanted Wilds players.
Who is the best 5-cost in Enchanted Wilds?
Lux is the most flexible. Elder Dragon is the strongest on Riftbeast. Ivern is the strongest when you need terrain, not raw stats.
Should I 3-star 1-costs every game?
Only on dedicated reroll lines like Veigar or Kayle. Otherwise 2-star 4-costs win more games.
Why does Nidalee feel inconsistent?
Adaptor changes her ability with AD versus AP. Itemize one form and play it; do not mix a Guinsoo's with a Rabadon's and hope.
Where do these units fit in comps?
See the comp tier list for full boards and the trait list for engines.
