TFT Enchanted Wilds TFT Patch 18.1 Enchanted Wilds

The Set 18 launch patch, without the marketing fluff.

Patch 18.1 Notes

Patch 18.1 is the TFT Enchanted Wilds launch patch. It went live on August 26, 2026 and replaced Space Gods as the default ranked set while leaving Set 17 playable for a short overlap. This page is the practical changelog: systems you feel every game, not every cosmetic name.

If you have not learned the set yet, read getting started and how Wisps work first. This page assumes you already know you are in a forest.

Wisps ship with seven categories, planning-phase purchases, a hidden champion behind the orb, every-other-shop timing, and a Stage 5 Combat guarantee. Carousel returns, with some rounds rolling extra or higher-cost champions. Those two sentences are the set. Everything else is tuning.

Opening Encounters

Added: Completed Item Anvil Start, Reroll Subscription, Item Forge (two Completed Item Anvils). Removed: Loot Subscription, Artifact Anvil, Reroll Start. The new encounters are milder because Wisps already supply variance. If you hit Item Forge, slam both items and play strongest board — see item recipes.

Combat and PvE

Units no longer retarget after crowd control. Missed loot from Stage 4-7 or later PvE can overflow to the next PvE round. Both changes reduce “the game ate my drop” and “my carry punched the wrong hex after a stun.”

Augment pool

A long list of Set 17-style Augments was removed (AFK, Tiny Titans, Exiles, and many more). Returning names include Called Shot, Celestial Blessing, Pandora’s Bench, Young and Wild and Free, and the Destiny chain. Young and Wild and Free matters again because Carousel is back.

Notable reworks: Birthday Reunion now gives a 2-star 2-cost, a component at 6, and a 2-star 5-cost at 9. Max Build gives 10 free rerolls now and a duplicator package at 9. Going Long immediate gold dropped. Pandora’s Bench is less likely to reroll the last copies of a 2-star. Slightly Magical’s roll-6 cashout became a random emblem instead of Spatula.

Wisp-specific Augments such as Wisp Rebate, Residual Magic, and Blossom’s Call are the ones that change skip rates. If you hit them, buy more orbs. If you do not, play the economy guide as written.

Radiants and Artifacts

Radiant Gargoyle Health 300 → 400. Radiant Hand of Justice AD/AP 30 → 35. Radiant Steadfast Heart Health 600 → 500. Artifacts removed Death’s Defiance, Hullcrusher, and Sniper’s Focus. Forbidden Idol and Manazane returned. Fishbones gained range and lost raw AD/AP. Silvermere Dawn gained omnivamp. Statikk Shiv bounces more for less damage. Check tooltips in client; this paragraph is the launch delta, not a full artifact wiki.

Space Gods overlap

Twisted Fate’s round 1-2 minimum roll and Milio’s mana were nudged. Ignore this unless you queued the old set on purpose.

August 27–28 live hotfixes

Riot shipped two mid-patch drops after launch. August 27 targeted memory leaks (Golden Egg, Rengar), loud Finisher volume ignoring SFX sliders, wrong 1st/2nd on the ranked end screen, Settings failing to open, and Soul Awakening true damage applying only to attacks. Matchmaking could repeat the same opponent two rounds in a row; that was fixed. Gnar knocking a Krug off the board could freeze combat end — also fixed.

August 28 added a loading-screen spinner so long Unreal loads look less like a crash. Double Up was disabled for a day after a hotfix bug, then re-enabled; a friendship-cannon exploit that made temporary items permanent is gone. Forge A Friend was temporarily disabled because it did not consistently grant a 3-star. Mobile queue delays, over-spec graphics, and an unclickable “Update Available” modal were patched. Teemo mushrooms landing off-board, default key binds, and several ability memory leaks (Elise, Maokai, Sejuani, Sentinel, Tristana) were on that list.

If your client still misbehaves, use Riot support from official links rather than rerolling the comp tier list.

Unreal Engine launch

Minimum PC: Windows 10 version 19041+, DirectX 11 Feature Level 4.3, Shader Model 5. Loads can be slower. Minimap was missing at launch. Friend spectating was delayed. Some Finishers used temporary video. Riot posted memory and mobile fixes on August 27 and 28; Double Up was briefly disabled during one of those cycles and then turned back on. None of that changes the comp tier list, but it does change whether you should blame your items or your client.

What to do with this patch

Play Enchanted Wilds, not Space Gods, if you want Set 18 LP. Slam items. Learn Wisp colors. Pick an open line. When 18.2 lands, start again from the top of this page and only then update your ranked climb defaults.

Official text lives on Riot’s patch 18.1 article, linked from official links. This page exists so you do not have to reread marketing to find the targeting change.
